Whatever it is that you’re experiencing, you’re beginning to notice the impact of this in every facet of your life:

  • Struggling to stay focused and productive at work

  • Having difficulty at home with your family

  • People you care about are concerned about you

  • Worried about your family’s finances

An Immigration Evaluation can help.

It may feel difficult now, but you can have confidence that you will have support in your immigration concerns. I can help you feel that you are taking an active role in your case.

Information on Immigration Evaluations:

  • An immigration evaluation is a clinical report prepared by a licensed mental health professional

  • The evaluation is guided by the unique immigration case that the individual is pursuing.

  • Examples of immigration cases are:
Cancellation of Removal, U Visa, VAWA, Asylum, Hardship Waivers.

I will take the time to give you instructions along the process. I will collaborate with your lawyer while documenting how you are feeling, administering psychological inventories as needed, and conducting research.

My role in writing your evaluation is from a professional and ethical stance. I will be objective, unbiased and prepare the evaluation based on the information you share with me in our sessions.

Common questions about Immigration Evaluations

  • When you and I get together for the immigration evaluation or psychological evaluation, we would talk about what has happened, I will ask you about your mental health history. This can be any worry, anxiety, sadness, or depression that you may be experiencing. We also go over some psychological inventories so that we can see where your anxiety or depression levels are and we use those tests in the evaluation.

  • I do not take insurance for Immigration evaluations due to the service category. Many hours are spent preparing for the immigration evaluation. We are in contact with the attorney and allocate time doing research and selecting effective assessments. As a therapist at A Mindful Process Therapy, I will answer any question regarding fees. My main objective is to develop a robust immigration evaluation so that you feel supported.

  • We will have an initial consultation to see if we are a good fit, I will answer any concerns you have and then we would schedule our first session where we will assess your needs.
